A belated happy new year to you all :)
I guess you might be wondering where's he been for the past month ?
The answer is simply running, running, running.
I decided as part of my training for the 10 in 10 I would do 4 things in January
Firstly run as much as possible for the first 10 days straight of the year, which I did covering 125 miles (still not half of the distance i will have to cover in May)
my second challenge was to run all 31 days of January & I have done 21 straight days, feeling tired, was only just over 3 miles in my lunchbreak today.
My third challenge was to run a double & this weekend I will once again tackle the Portland Coastal & Gloucester marathons."The Famous 5" will be heading out of South London heading for Dorset & a night of pub grub, beers & darts - Don't think any of us would give "The Power" too many sleepless nights !!!
My final goal is to complete 310 miles for January (an average of 10 miles a day) I have never previously run more than 175 miles in a month & I am well on course for this goal too.
At the moment my running is providing me with some light relief & a mental break from the pressures of work, money & the threat of losing my job. Work has become a chore & the fun atmosphere that used to surround the place is gone :(
I can't wait for the lighter nights & warmer weather but i guess i'm not alone there, not sure the world is ready for my scrawny white legs in shorts but life ain't fair - deal with it - LOL !!!
good running
Foxy Davy !!
